                       WESTERN CAROLINA B.A.S.S. ASSOC. RULES
[1] The Charter Members of the Assoc. will have the controlling voice of the Assoc.
[2] The Charter Members will serve as overseers of the offices of the Assoc.
[3] Anything pertaining to the Charter Members of the Assoc. can not be brought to
       a vote for any reason as long as there is one Charter Member still in the Assoc.
[4] Any problem about the Assoc. after April 1, 1993 will be dealt with by the
        Charter Members.
[5] The Assoc. rules cannot be changed during the year after voted on at the
Sept.meeting.
[6]Tournament rules can be changed during year with 100% vote of the members present
       at the meeting.
                [A] Any lake,date,or time set at beginning of each quarter can not be
                       changed without a 100% vote of the members present at the meeting.
{7] Rules & Offices of the Assoc. will be voted on at the Sept. meeting which will
        be adopted by a 51% or greater vote of the members present.
{8] All rules must be inforced without question .
   {9] The Assoc. reserves the right to add any rules during the year they think necessary.
{10] NEW MEMBERS:
            {A} Anyone wishing to be a member will have to agree to the rules of the Assoc.
                    That person will be given a copy of the rules before any voting takes place.
                    That person will have to be recommended by a member of the Asssoc,
             {B} The candidate will be voted on by the Assoc. members. It will take 100%
                     vote of the members present to become a member. Voting will take place
                      by a secret ballot.
               {C} All members will be on a probation for one year from date entering the
                       Assoc.
    {11} No alcohol or illegal drugs will be permitted during any Assoc. function.
     {12} Any rule broken by any person will be grounds for dismissal without question.
     {13} The Assoc. reserves the right not to have anymore than 30 members at this time.
     {14} There will be a $10.00 Fee to be a member & $25.00 Federation Dues
              {A} Each member must receive B.A.S.S. Magazine.
               *This is each ones choice to join the Federation or receive B.A.S.S. Magazine.
      {15} There is a $10.00 Fee for each quarter to fish club tournaments.
      {16} The same lake cannot be fished more then twice in one year.

OFFICES OF THE ASSOCIATION

      {1} President: Duties will be to serve as moderator of all meetings. Will vote in event
             of a tie.Will be impartial in all voting as long as he is moderating the meeting.
            Will keep order in the meeting by recogning one person at a time to speak.
            Office limited to maximum of 2 consecutive one year terms.
      {2} Vice-President: Will take over in the meeting when the President is not in
attendance.Duties will be same as those of President.
      {3} Secretary: Will take notes of all meeting & keep records of all tournments,Will
            keep records of all new members, the date each new member entered the Assoc.&
            report to the Assoc.the date for each new member to come out of the probation.
     {4} Treasurer: Will take up all money for dues, take care of trophies, & pay all bills.
     {5} Safety Man: Will determine when it is safe to blast off.
     {6} All Offices no more than 2 years.

                                    TOURNAMENT   RULES
     {1} All state regulations must be followed.
     {2} 5 fish limit 14"inches or two fish 12" inches long and the other 3 fish have to be
14" inches long   *** North Carolina Rule ***
     {3} Life jackets are to be worn at time of blast off & also anytime outboard moter is
            running.
     {4} There will be no trolling during tournament.
     {5} Artificial bait only.
     {6} No fishing with more than one rod at a time.
     {7} Anyone late for designated weigh-in will be disqualified.
     {8} No alcohol or illegal drugs during any club function.
     {9} No fishing within 100' feet of another club member. The club member there first
            has the right to wave another member off.
    {10}Fish must be measured closed mouth, rolled tail & both sides must touch.
    {11}Penalty for having over 5 fish in livewell is culling down to 5 fish,then biggest fish.
    {12}Penalty for having short fish is culling short fish & biggest fish.
    {13}NO CULLING AT THE RAMP:
                    Penalty is disqualification.
                    No more than 5 fish at any time.
    {14}In the event of cancellation, tournament will be scheduled for the following Sat.
              Cancellation resons to be hazardous road conditions or death of family member.
    {15}Weigh-in the same order as you drawed at meeting or the way you leave the ramp.
      "No fish weighed until all boats are out of the water."
{16}In the event of a missed tournament ,because of a death in immediate family,there will
       be an average points of that Tournament awarded to the contestant if he so desires.
        "NO" other excuses
